What I learned
building this
Security UX is a balance. Every layer of protection adds friction — the design challenge was keeping the vault both genuinely secure and faster to use than the notes app it replaces.
Offline-first sync taught me conflict resolution the hard way: last-write-wins corrupts trust, so SafePass keeps versioned entries and merges deliberately.
Building for my own daily use kept the product honest — features I didn't reach for weekly got cut.
