What I learned
building this
Multi-role products multiply every design decision by four — the fix was designing the data model first and letting each role's view be a filter over it.
Schools adopt software socially: the product grew by making the admin look good to parents, not by feature count.
Tenant isolation discipline from day one (every query scoped) made scaling to 100+ schools uneventful.
